Deal with Emotional Issues in Your Classroom – A Three Step Method for Educators

We know how many emotionally charged situations you confront each day.   We know that your teaching, and your life outside of school would improve if you could better handle the emotions that both create and are created by stressful moments.

This workshop will show you how to talk with students in a non-judgmental way that leaves both of you open to new ways of dealing with an issue.  We call these steps “Acknowledge/Process/Act.”  These three steps will help you create conditions that will result in better relationships and more emotional balance.  Regardless of grade level, this process will result in higher student motivation and achievement.

Capitalize on Teaching with Technology Using The Guided Experience Approach™

The Guided Experience Approach is ideal for learning through projects that incorporate technology.

It naturally:

  • motivates students,
  • includes individual and group research,
  • promotes application and demonstration of new knowledge,
  • provides outcomes based on peer and expert feedback aligned with high standards.

This workshop is not about directions on how to use the hardware or even software itself, it is how to shift teaching in order to incorporate these devices and the appropriate software into a different kind of learning culture.  When that happens, everyone becomes a learner and their knowledge of technology expands naturally and continuously.  The Guided Experience Approach shows the way.
